How Persistent are You?
“Nothing is this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not, nothing is more common than an unsuccessful man with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”
— Calvin Coolidge
The word PERSISTENCE is a powerful word for me. When I consider my accomplishments — easy or hard — the underlying driver was my persistence to get it done. Two college degrees, numerous promotions, writing 3 books, mastering the art of public speaking — all happened due to being persistent.
When I speak with someone about their goals and dreams, I often hear excuses. I ask them, “How persistent are you? Do you give up easily?”
I know I have achieved many things due to persistence. Talent and building the skill came along with it.
